AHTOH:Right...Newt Gingrich who resigned (or was forced to, too lazy to Google) from his Congressional post over ethical issues, has a collection of wives, and was advising Fannie and Freddie. Of course there is no bigger hippocrite to be found to head the "party of family values and morals"...All this talk reminds me "Палата No 6" craziness. Because God Forbid we stop allowing people to skip on their hospital bills and require that everyone is insured - this is such "socialistic" notion! This "party" and this country are headed straight for the mental hospital.
We already said Romney is cleaner and might be a better candidate. Be careful, Anton - you unleash this stuff too early, you'll have Romney to contend with instead
But seriously - digging deeper into what you are saying here, collecting details about it (i understand you don;t have time to google, but the media will google it for you shortly), and then communicating this in a packaged format with Gingrich responding, then balancing it against Obama's issues and record and Obama responding (i have no idea how he is going to do that and can't wait to find out how), with the audience being (as always) the swing vote, is a different ballgame entirely. This is a group of people vastly dissaproving of Obama by close to 100% if you parse the polling, not particularly caring how many wives gingrich had (or how many Obama will have by this age
), see nothing wrong about advising Fannie/Freddie (rather wish Fannie/Freddie listened to what he advised them
, etc..
These people stood up for clinton after vaginal cigar insertions. Preferring instead a balanced budget and pragmatic/effective approach to governing.
I happen to think advising Fannie and Freddie is a valuable experience with subjects on which both Bush and Obama sorely lacked an understanding and comfort level, and had to get on-the-job training about these things from scratch, making them susceptable to the respective bias of their immediate advisors and being isolated from objectivity by definition, once one becomes president.
I like to have a president who knows, (prior to entering the position, so he can confidently call "BS" on his advisors and manipulators) more than I do on these complicated subjects. And EVEN more than you Anton, if you think that's possible. And this is just one example of such issue. He knows more than us on all of them. (that are of consequence to the nation presently).
And he has solutions for them, which he can communicate eloquently and I think will be well-liked by a super-majority. This is a different type of eloqunce than Obama's, whose strength comes from vagueness, and i think people are sick of it. I was sick of it in 2008 already.
